Alexander Mazin, B. Comm., LL.B.
Alexander graduated with High Distinction from the University
of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1997. He then went
on to study law at Osgoode Hall Law School and received his
Bachelor of Laws in 1998. Since receiving his call to the
Ontario Bar in 2000, Alexander has served as respectable and
reputable member of the Ontario Bar. After co-founding Mazin
& Rooz, Alexander has primarily focused on establishing
an excellent client service in personal injury litigation.
Alexander has provided his clients with excellent results
in both tort and accident benefits claims. Alexander is actively
involved in mediation and arbitration proceedings with the
Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and has also appeared
before the Superior Courts of Justice.
Alon Rooz, B.A.S., LL.B.
Alon graduated with a Distinction from York University with
a Bachelor of Administrative Studies in 1994. In 1997, he
received his Bachelor of Laws from The University of Western
Ontario, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1999. Ever since
receiving his law degree, Alon has focused on practicing Personal
Injury law and his hard work and commitment to his clients
has earned him the standing as a respectable member of the
Ontario Bar. Alon has successfully provided his clients with
excellent results in both tort and accident benefit claims.
Alon is actively involved in mediation and arbitration proceedings
with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, as well
as litigation proceedings at various levels of the Superior
Court of Justice.
Gary Mazin, B.A., LL.B., M.B.A.
Gary graduated with High Distinction from the University of Toronto with a B.A. in 1997. In 2002, Gary graduated in exceptionally top form the joint LL.B./M.B.A. program at Osgoode Hall Law School and The Schulich School of Business. After receiving his call to the Ontario Bar in 2003, Gary has practiced in areas including corporate and commercial affairs, civil litigation (both trial and appellate work), real estate, family law, immigration and estates, before deciding to focus exclusively in the area of personal injury. Gary has appeared frequently at the Superior Court of Justice and has argued on behalf of his clients at the Federal Court of Canada, the Immigration and Refugee Board, and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. In 2007, Gary decided to merge his practice with Mazin & Rooz, Barristers & Solicitors (as the firm was then known) where he continued to provide his clients with excellent results in the new firm of Mazin Rooz Mazin.
Amanda C. Heerschop, LL.B.
Amanda graduated from Queen’s Law in 2001. After completing her articles with a prominent
downtown sole practitioner, she was called to the Ontario Bar in January of 2007; she joined
Mazin Rooz Mazin as an associate lawyer in June of 2007.
Originally from Calgary Alberta, Amanda was enrolled in the University of Calgary, Political Science with
honours program and spent several years working for not-for-profit organizations and teaching legal
administration at college. Amanda brings valuable experience in civil litigation, family law and
estates law. She has been actively involved in discoveries, mediations, arbitrations, trials and
motions, and has appeared before tribunals, provincial offenses court and the Superior Courts of
Justice.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys watching and playing sports, traveling and reading.
Eti Hankin, BA, J.D.
Eti Hankin, BA, J.D.
Eti graduated with distinction from York University in 2006, receiving a degree in
Philosophy. She studied law at the University of Western Ontario where she received
her Juris Doctor degree in 2009. Eti spent years volunteering with the Children's
Aid Society and conducted legal research for MADD Canada, where she was a
co-researcher on MADD Canada's Rating the Provinces: The 2008 Report. Eti went on to
summer and article with a boutique Insurance Defence firm before being Called to the
Ontario Bar in June 2011. Eti is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the
Ontario Bar Association.
Marko Djukic, iBBA, J.D.
Marko graduated with distinction from the Schulich School of Business in 2004, receiving an International
Business Administration degree and specializing in Finance. He studied law at Osgoode Hall Law School where
he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2009. Marko articled with a multi-practice law firm before being Called
to the Ontario Bar in June 2010 and joining Mazin Rooz Mazin in September 2010. He is a member of the Canadian
Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association. |
